A Laptop to Be Admired
The MacBook Pro’s overall design aesthetic has universal appeal. It’s a gorgeous machine. Measuring 0.59 by 11.97 by 8.36 inches (HWD) and weighing 3.02 pounds, it’s almost imperceptibly heavier than last year’s 2.98-pound version, but significantly lighter than the 2015 13-inch MacBook Pro model, which weighed 3.41 pounds.

Externally, this notebook has an integrated 720p FaceTime HD webcam, a thin, backlit “second generation” butterfly mechanism keyboard with an integrated “Touch Bar” touch-sensitive control that adapts for different applications and provides Touch ID login support in lieu of traditional function keys, and a gigantic “Force Touch” trackpad.
